At a time when the River Severn was a vital transport artery, the local community honed their boatmanship, laying the groundwork for the passion and skill that defines Upton Rowing Club today. The current embodiment of the Club was created in August 1995 to continue the spirit of rowing which has always flourished here. Over the decades, Upton Rowing Club has evolved, adapting to changing times and fostering a vibrant community. From local regattas to growing our membership, every stroke has added to our rich tapestry, shaping us into the inclusive club we are today.

Upton Rowing Club prides itself on being open to everyone in the locality, regardless of age, ability, or aspiration – whether competitive or recreational. Beginners are always welcome! The Club Members range from National Champions to complete beginners.
