A new rowing lake for Upton

The most exciting development on the horizon is the large 1,250m six-lane rowing lake being developed a short distance from our Boathouse. It should provide facilities for holding our own competitions for the first time and will be a great addition to our rowing training and schedule, as well as extending the rowing season when the river is in flood.

Expanding our racking space

We are also planning to increase racking space in and around our boathouse, both to improve our club boat options and to be able to provide more racking for members' own boats. This will support the growth of our club and the individual pursuits of our rowers.

Benefits for our members and new joiners

These plans will give the opportunity for the club to expand its fleet, for existing members to buy their own boats, and for new members with boats to be able to rack them at the club. This expansion will create more opportunities for everyone to enjoy rowing with Upton Rowing Club.
