Welcome to Upton Rowing Club
At Upton Rowing Club, we're a small, friendly club where everyone is welcome, from 18 to 80 years young! We pride ourselves on our welcoming spirit and commitment to helping each other. Come and experience rowing with us – a well-established and friendly community.

A storied past
Upton Rowing Club boasts a remarkable history, making it one of the oldest rowing clubs in the UK. Founded in the 1830s, our original club ceased operations when Upton was no longer an active port. However, our passion for rowing was rekindled, and the club was proudly resurrected in 1995, carrying forward a legacy spanning nearly two centuries.

An outstanding River with practical training and rowing facilities
We are fortunate to offer excellent training and rowing facilities, providing access to one of the UK's longest uninterrupted stretches of rowing river – the magnificent River Severn, extending for 26km. This ensures our members, regardless of skill level, have ample space to train, improve, and enjoy the sport.

Your place in our boat

Everyone is happy to help, fostering a supportive environment where you can grow, learn, and enjoy rowing. We are a well-established, friendly, and welcoming club, and we can't wait for you to join us.
