Ro-Fit Project receives first funding streams Ro-Fit is a project designed to provide new access routes to indoor-rowing and sculling. Sculling can lead to sweep-oar rowing also. The provision of dry as well as our existing wet-rowing activities will widen the appeal of the Club and provide a much needed service to the community. Ro-Fit is also the Club's platform for all-year round fitness and well-being initiatives to extend athleticism (fitness, strength, endurance and flexibility) with an emphasis on core stability to improve posture, health and well-supported spines! The junior programme starts second week in September 2009. The first two grants have been received with the bulk of funding coming from Awards-for-All. The grants extend our indoor rowing facility and support fitness programmes and sculling. |

Women's Triple VictoryOne of our crews had a run of winning in winter head racing last season, bringing back medals from Gloucester, Evesham and Monmouth in quick succession. The Evesham win was particularly gratifying as they were racing one age group lower than their normal competing class, further adding to their achievement. Picture shows from left to right Lynne Stirling (Women's VC), Sue Martin, Johnnie Birks (cox), Linda Scott (Membership Secretary) and Helen Barker (Welfare Adviser). |
